Jeff Morris

Executive Director

Mr. Morris joined Bethany Community School in the summer of 2021 as the Executive Director with a primary role of strategic planning, vision casting, and managing school resources in a way that moves the school forward.  He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge as a teacher and administrator with more than 16 years of charter school leadership and 10 years of experience with a large traditional school. Mr. Morris is dedicated to growth and is committed to creating opportunities to introduce young people to their potential.  He welcomes opportunities to connect with the community and share the Bethany story.

Scott Lewis

High School Principal

Mr. Lewis became the High School Principal at Bethany Community School after serving as Assistant Head of School for Academics and Student Affairs starting in 2022. With a rich background in teaching, coaching, and roles as assistant principal and principal, Mr. Lewis brings extensive experience to his leadership. He oversees high school operations, ensuring curriculum and student support are well-aligned. His approach fosters a secure environment that nurtures learning and community. Mr. Lewis's commitment to Bethany’s mission is evident in his collaborative work with staff, students, and parents, enriching the school’s community impact.

Maegan Parker

Director of Teaching and Learning

Mrs. Parker serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning at Bethany Community School, bringing over 22 years of teaching experience to her role. She earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning.

In her role, Mrs. Parker serves as a mentor and coach, guiding both teachers and students toward growth and achievement. She takes pride in assessing the strengths and needs of the school community from a whole-school perspective. Believing that every challenge has a solution, her focus is on finding the best path forward to ensure success for all.

Rosaland Harvin

Middle School Principal

The 2024-2025 academic year marks Mrs. Harvin's 20th year in education. She has served as a Teacher Assistant, Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and Assistant Principal, mostly in the Winston Salem Forsyth County School System. Mrs. Harvin is dedicated to building relationships with every student and deeply supports Bethany Community School’s mission for academic success. She eagerly anticipates working together to provide students with a fulfilling, challenging experience. Her door is open to you—feel free to reach out anytime, as she looks forward to celebrating the year’s successes together.

Shawaun Coles-Wilson

Assistant Principal 

Mrs. Coles-Wilson serves as Assistant Principal at Bethany Community School, bringing over 20 years of educational experience. Before Bethany, she spent 11 years at Walkertown Middle School, most recently as Dean of Students. Her background includes coaching multiple sports, advising FBLA and SGA, and leading Positive Behavior Reinforcement programs, highlighting her dedication to school engagement. She supports student success by fostering a collaborative environment that inspires growth and achievement. Passionate about education, Mrs. Coles-Wilson values the unique opportunity of a community school to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds.  Her leadership reflects her belief in the power of learning and connection.
